## Description

RepFocus is a comprehensive online resource dedicated to the study and dissemination of knowledge about the world's reptiles. Founded by Rune Midtgaard in 2019, the platform offers an extensive collection of taxonomic information, geographic distributions, and an extensive literature bibliography aimed at researchers, conservationists, and reptile enthusiasts alike.

The website features in-depth sections on taxonomy, where users can explore detailed checklists comprising over 7,176 reptile species, along with their scientific and common names across multiple languages. The Geography section provides 1,187 regional checklists that cover reptile populations in every corner of the globe, with a focus on endemic species and biodiversity.

Additionally, the Literature section houses more than 120,000 references, making it the largest compilation of reptile-related literature available online. Although still developing, the Biodiversity section aims to offer unique statistics regarding reptile families, genera, and species distributions. RepFocus serves as an invaluable tool for anyone interested in reptiles, whether for scientific research or general knowledge.
