## Description

RepresentWomen is a nonprofit organization working to make U.S. democracy more representative by addressing the structural barriers that limit women’s political participation and leadership. For more than a decade, it has used research, electoral systems design, and collaboration to help women run, win, serve, and lead at every level of government. Its approach, called Women’s Power by Design, focuses on changing the rules and structures that shape representation rather than treating barriers as individual problems.

The organization researches reforms including ranked choice voting, proportional representation, voting rights, and legislative modernization. Its Gender Parity Index tracks women’s representation across all 50 states, while its research library and reports examine progress, policy, and international examples. RepresentWomen also convenes advocates and experts through the annual Democracy Solutions Summit, the Women’s Power Collaborative, and a directory of women experts in democracy. Additional resources include media features, podcasts, webinars, videos, and public education materials. Through its partnerships and programs, RepresentWomen aims to advance gender-balanced government and build a stronger, more inclusive democracy.
