## Description

Resist is a foundation that is dedicated to supporting people's movements for justice and liberation. With a long history starting in 1967, Resist has always been a different type of foundation. It all began with the Call to Resist Illegitimate Authority during the Vietnam War, which mobilized activists and academics and led to the foundation's founding. Over the years, Resist has evolved and provided critical early funding to numerous influential progressive organizations in the US. From the civil rights movement to grassroots activism, Resist has granted over $7 million to more than 5,000 dedicated groups across the United States. Notable grantees include organizations such as the Black Panther Party, American Indian Movement, ACT-UP, and the Black Radical Congress. By redistributing resources back to frontline communities, Resist actively amplifies their stories of building a better world. If you are passionate about justice and liberation, you can become a part of Resist's mission by contributing and supporting their cause. Join the movement and become a Resister today!.
