Resources for the Future is an independent, nonprofit research institution based in Washington, DC. Our mission is to enhance environmental, energy, and natural resource decisions through unbiased economic research and policy engagement. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, we prioritize values such as balance, rigor, independence, respect, and results in all our endeavors. With a $17.5 million budget, we serve over 1.2 million website visitors annually and host more than 12,700 attendees at our events. Our team of 139 staff and affiliated scholars, along with the support of 268 foundations, corporations, and individuals, are dedicated to leading global environmental economics. For over 70 years, Resources for the Future has been at the forefront of shaping impactful environmental decisions and policies.
