He went to extraordinary lengths to source the best ingredients and create authentic flavors. Kuraoka even petitioned the FDA to import the seasonal delicacy Torafugu, a testament to his dedication and determination. His passion for Japanese food was recognized by the Japanese government, who awarded him the Order of the Rising Sun for his outstanding contributions.
