## Description

Retina AMD Polska is a Polish association founded in 1998 to help protect people from vision loss and support those affected by retinal and other eye conditions. Its members include people living with retinitis pigmentosa, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), Stargardt disease and other genetically based retinal disorders, as well as their relatives and others interested in eye health.

The association provides patients and families with practical information about eye diseases, treatment options and access to care. Its resources include a patient guide, updates on treatment programmes for AMD and diabetic macular edema, information about genetic testing, rehabilitation clinics and optical aids, along with publications, videos, audio materials and the Oko Rady podcast. Retina AMD Polska also organizes patient seminars and conferences, shares patient experiences and research news, and undertakes advocacy, including raising concerns about access to treatment. Through initiatives such as its project on genetic eye diseases, it connects patients, professionals and supporters around efforts to preserve vision and improve daily life for people with sight impairment.
