## Description

Welcome to the retro-Bibliothek, where we bring back digitized reference works from around 1900 with full-text search capability and facsimiles. Our project focuses on retrodigitizing old Fraktur-printed reference books from the late 19th century and making them accessible online. This initiative, run entirely by volunteers, aims to provide both the facsimiles and text for these valuable works. The advertising revenue generated on our pages is reinvested in digitizing new works and maintaining our servers. Our journey began with the digitization of the 1888 edition of Meyers Konversationslexikon. We have since added Brockhaus' Konversationslexikon and other smaller reference works to our collection. If you're interested in helping out, we are always looking for volunteers to correct pages. Join us in preserving these historical treasures for future generations.
