## Description

RetroFed is a nostalgia-themed Piefed instance designed as a home away from modern life. It brings together people who want to explore online communities and follow conversations with a distinctly old-fashioned, community-centered feel. Visitors can browse feeds by popularity, activity, age, or time period, and explore a broad mix of topics represented by communities across the wider federated social network. The front page features posts about comics, memes, history, technology, politics, gaming, pets, and more, with discussion and comments from members of different participating platforms.

RetroFed supports account registration, with applications that include a questionnaire, and offers tools to tailor the feed to individual interests. Users can log in, create an account, discover communities, and participate in discussions. The site also provides a donation option for people who want to support the instance. By combining a nostalgic identity with community discovery and federated conversations, RetroFed offers an alternative space for following shared interests and connecting with others online.
