## Description

RevBio is a biomaterials company developing TETRANITE®, a synthetic regenerative bone adhesive designed to transform bone repair. Inspired by the sandcastle worm’s natural adhesive, TETRANITE is engineered for wet environments and can bond bone to bone and bone to metal. The company describes it as a patented material designed to provide rapid mechanical stability, controlled biodegradability, and support for new bone growth.

TETRANITE is mixed with an aqueous medium, changing from a pliable putty into a cement-like adhesive scaffold. As the scaffold is gradually replaced by bone, it is designed to transfer load-bearing responsibility to the new tissue. RevBio is building a product pipeline spanning neurosurgery, orthopaedics, dentistry, and animal health, with potential uses including cranial flap fixation, dental implant stabilization, and dental bone grafting. The company reports that the material has been clinically proven safe and effective for a range of indications and is pursuing further clinical research, including a first-in-human study of cranial flap fixation.
