## Description

Exulanten is a unique online platform that began as a personal project by Linda Schaitberger, who aimed to document her family history and connect with her German heritage. Tragically, Linda passed away in 2013, but her legacy continues through this website, which explores the diverse narratives surrounding the Salzburg Protestant Exiles in the early 18th century. The site underwent significant rework under Simon Sheppard, who took on the challenge of revamping its technical aspects to enhance user experience. Exulanten features meticulously curated content, including historical discussions and family lore, making it a valuable resource for genealogical research. It hosts a wealth of information related to Linda’s ancestry and broader historical contexts, particularly the impact of world events on individual lives. Although the site is still a work in progress, it stands out as the singular repository of these compelling stories, inviting visitors to delve into the intricate tapestry of history and personal connections that define our shared past.
