## Description

Re:Wired Museum & Arcade CIC is a volunteer-powered community museum and arcade in Middlesbrough, bringing people of different generations together through technology. Its collection of vintage computers, consoles, arcade machines and electronics is restored and made available to explore and play, offering visitors a hands-on way to discover the stories and ideas behind familiar devices. Playable exhibits are set to free play, with a suggested donation helping to support the museum.

Re:Wired also runs free, pre-booked youth clubs supported by a Middlesbrough Council grant. Wednesday’s Retro Tech Club invites children aged 8–14 to explore old computers and electronics, while Thursday’s Code Club offers coding and creative projects for ages 10–16, with places for some older participants with SEN. No previous coding experience is required.

The museum welcomes families and offers tailored group visits for schools, birthdays, work socials and community groups, including exclusive hire by arrangement. Visitors can support its work through donations of funds or technology, helping preserve machines, maintain the museum and provide hands-on learning opportunities.
