## Description

Rezūm is a Boston Scientific-sponsored brand focused on water vapor therapy for men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or an enlarged prostate. Its treatment is designed to address prostate tissue associated with BPH and relieve urinary symptoms such as frequent nighttime bathroom trips, weak urine flow, and urgency. The short, in-office procedure uses the natural energy in small amounts of water to shrink prostate tissue. According to the website, it requires no incisions or general anesthesia, and most patients return to regular activities within a few days, depending on their clinical situation and healing response. The therapy is described as preserving sexual function, though individual outcomes and risks vary. Rezūm’s website helps people explore whether the treatment may suit their symptoms and goals. Resources include a BPH symptom quiz, patient brochures in English and Spanish, educational articles, safety information, and questions to discuss with a doctor. Visitors can also request information and use the Doctor Finder to connect with urologists who specialize in Rezūm.
