Riaan, the beautiful son of Gurjot Jo Kaur and Richard Richie DiGeorge, was diagnosed with this devastating disorder.

Despite being told there was no cure and no help available, the parents refused to accept the narrative. Cockayne Syndrome affects a few hundred children and adults worldwide and presents a range of life-threatening symptoms, including neurodegeneration, vision and hearing loss, developmental delays, and more. Through their research efforts and collaborations with leading experts in the field, Riaan Research Initiative strives to unlock new insights and develop potential treatments for this ultra-rare disorder.
