## Description

Richard Evans is an Australian author known for page-turning political and crime thrillers shaped by his experience as a former member of parliament. Across nine novels, he explores political intrigue, corruption, ambition and the people caught in struggles for power. His stories feature character-driven plots, sharp twists and Machiavellian figures, drawing readers into the shadowy side of public life.

Evans’s books include the Democracy Trilogy—Deceit, Duplicity and Doomed—as well as Horrible People, the Jack Hudson MP series, and titles such as The Kill Bill, The Mallee, Selfish Ambitions and Out of My Hands. His work also spans the Referendum Series and standalone fiction. Horrible People follows former special services officer Jack Hudson as he confronts betrayal and danger in a corrupt political world.

Alongside his novels, Evans shares parliamentary speeches, reflections and insights on politics and life through his website. Readers can access a free digital edition of Deceit, browse his bookshelf and latest releases, and connect with him through his online channels.
