## Description

Richter City Roller Derby is a not-for-profit, skater-owned and operated flat track roller derby league based in Pōneke, Wellington, New Zealand. Established in 2007, the league has been a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) since 2013. Guided by the ethos “for the skaters, by the skaters,” Richter City promotes the sport and spirit of roller derby while building an inclusive community.

The league has two travel teams and two home teams, supported by skating and non-skating officials. It hosts and takes part in competitive events, with tickets and streaming available for selected bouts. Richter City welcomes people interested in joining its community and offers opportunities to participate in different ways.

Its mission includes upholding Te Ao Māori principles, creating and fostering a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people, and inspiring new members to get involved. The league also assists with establishing and developing other leagues and teams across Aotearoa New Zealand. Visitors can learn about its teams, membership, events, and ways to join through its website.
