## Description

Rickety Bridge Winery, nestled against the slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains, is a historic winery with a long tradition. With a history dating back to 1797, this estate has been owned by Duncan Spence since 2000. Its roots trace back to the great La Provence farm and have been passed down through the generations. Located between the Dassenberg Mountain and the Franschhoek River, Rickety Bridge offers a picturesque setting for wine enthusiasts. The vineyard blends seamlessly into the landscape, creating a truly enchanting experience. At Rickety Bridge, visitors can indulge in curated wine tastings, where they can savor the estate's range of exceptional wines. The winemaking process reflects the unique Franschhoek terroir, resulting in noble wines that are aged in the recently restored wine cellar. The winemaker, Donovan Ackermann, combines perfectionism and passion to create excellent South African wines. In addition to wine tastings, Rickety Bridge offers luxurious accommodations overlooking the Franschhoek Mountains. Guests can also enjoy bistro-styled lunches at Paulina's Restaurant, which offers a charming setting amidst the vineyards. Plan a visit to the historic Rickety Bridge Winery for an unforgettable experience that combines tradition and modernity in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley.
