The Program Towards a Rich Wadden Sea focuses on natural developments in the Wadden Sea area and sustainable economic growth. Although this website is no longer actively maintained, it will remain online as an archive until April 2026 for the Program Towards a Rich Wadden Sea. Together, we are striving for a resilient and sustainable Wadden Sea region.

The program is dedicated to enhancing the ecosystem's resilience and promoting sustainable (economic) co-use. Activities and projects address key themes like climate change, natural dynamics, underwater nature, birds, fisheries, accessibility and mobility, the edges of the mudflats, and strengthening the core values of World Heritage. Through various roles such as challenging, driving, developing, and connecting, the Program Towards a Rich Wadden Sea facilitates transitions towards nature improvement and sustainable (economic) co-use.
