RIMAS, the Risk and Insurance Management Association of Singapore, is a non-profit organization established in 1988. They are dedicated to advancing the discipline and practice of risk management. RIMAS was formed after the first risk management conference held in Singapore in 1986, which was sponsored by the Risk and Insurance Management Society of America. This event inspired risk management professionals to hold a forum in 1987, where they received encouraging feedback and endorsement for the formation of a risk management association in Singapore. RIMAS was officially registered on April 18, 1988.

The vision of RIMAS is to make everyone a Risk Manager by equipping individuals with risk management knowledge and tools to effectively manage business risks and opportunities. Their mission is to lead and promote risk management in various sectors including industry, commerce, government, and the community.

RIMAS achieves its objectives by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and opinions among practitioners, updating members on technical matters and current practices, promoting understanding through courses and conferences, and acting as an informed opinion in dealing with trade associations and other bodies. They also promote professionalism in risk management and offer educational opportunities for members.
