## Description

Rimba was a renowned brand of scientists who dedicated themselves to conducting vital conservation research in Peninsular Malaysia. Their goal was to generate evidence-based recommendations for managing and mitigating threats to biodiversity. Unfortunately, due to financial limitations, they have ceased their operations as of end-2022. Rimba aimed to bridge the gap between conservation science and practice. They proactively shared their research outcomes with practitioners and policymakers to ensure that their findings directly influenced on-ground conservation actions. Unlike academic institutions and traditional NGOs, Rimba also played a hands-on role in implementing the necessary conservation efforts identified through their research. One unique aspect of Rimba was their focus on less popular species and habitats that often went unnoticed. By addressing the conservation needs of these uncharismatic ecosystems, they worked towards filling the gaps and providing much-needed attention to these overlooked areas. Although Rimba's operations have ended, their legacy persists as a symbol of dedication and passion for protecting and preserving our natural world.
