## Description

Rimbey Fish & Game Association is a Central Alberta nonprofit organization with about 100 members annually and an affiliation with the Alberta Wildlife Federation. Its mission is to promote conservation and responsible use of fish and wildlife through education, while protecting and enhancing the habitats they depend on. Volunteers support the association’s programs and care for its campground and lodge properties.

The association operates Open Creek Dam Campground, leased from Clearwater County and located about 32 kilometers west of Rimbey on Highway 53. Open from May through September, the family- and pet-friendly campground offers campsites, day-use areas, walking paths, hiking trails, boat launches, playgrounds, a camp kitchen, picnic tables, and opportunities to view wildlife. In May 2025, the association stocked Open Creek with 6,000 trout.

The association also manages a lodge on land south of Rimbey, acquired in 2020 from part of the former Rimbey Golf Course property. Available for monthly meetings, functions, and public rentals, the lodge provides a community venue.
