Their workforce development programs, located in Oakland and Stockton, are designed to prepare youth, women, and individuals in reentry for high-road careers and green pathways that provide family-sustaining wages.

Through their Opportunity Build program, which is a certified Apprenticeship Readiness Program for careers in the union construction trades, participants gain valuable skills that employers are looking for. The program begins with 10-12 weeks of intensive training. Rising Sun believes that access to learning, success, a career, and a future should not be a privilege.
