## Description

The Risk-Monger is an independent blog and commentary platform focused on complex environmental-health risks and the decisions surrounding them. Its stated approach is pro-science and opposed to dogma, welcoming challenges while rejecting personal attacks and intolerance. Through articles, columns, videos, and educational resources, the site examines topics including biotechnology, plant breeding, agriculture, risk assessment, public policy, and the precautionary principle. David, the author, contributes a column on biotech, plant breeding, and agricultural issues to European Seed Magazine, and shares video content through the Risk-Monger YouTube channel. The site also offers an archive of articles, curated selections for new readers, and a guide for scientists on communicating about risk. Its work aims to encourage debate and scrutinize arguments about environmental and health issues rather than promote simplistic answers. Readers can follow new posts by email or RSS, connect through social media, contact the author, or support the site through Patreon, with monthly benefits available to patrons.
