## Description

The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RI SPCA) is the oldest nonprofit animal welfare organization in Rhode Island, founded in 1870. With a mission to protect and care for animals, RI SPCA offers a range of services and programs to support both animals and their owners in the community. Their services include adoption and rehoming services, veterinary care, humane education programs, training support, and pet owner assistance programs. They also serve as the only organization in the state authorized to investigate and prosecute cases of animal cruelty and neglect. As a private, non-profit organization, RI SPCA relies solely on donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations to fund their critical programs and services. Whether you're looking to adopt a new furry friend, report animal cruelty, or support their cause, RI SPCA is dedicated to advocating for the welfare of animals in Rhode Island.
