## Description

Ritual is a platform for developers building AI agents that can operate with greater autonomy. Its infrastructure is designed to let agents think privately, manage their own funds and keep running by paying for their own computing. Agents execute inside trusted execution environments, where memory and inputs are encrypted so hardware operators cannot read their reasoning. Their wallet keys are also kept in this protected hardware, allowing agents to sign payments and receive earnings. Agents can rent computing from independent providers and move to another provider if needed, provided they can cover the cost.

Ritual supports projects such as earning from unused AI credits, checking private data without exposing it, evaluating agents in shared environments and running always-on personal agents. Developers can follow a builder guide, install Ritual skills for coding agents, explore network activity and deploy by paying execution costs in native RITUAL. The site also publishes research spanning artificial intelligence, cryptography, systems and mechanism design, alongside technical documentation and a network explorer.
