## Description

River Teeth is a renowned literary organization that has been a pioneer in publishing exceptional essays, memoirs, and literary journalism since its founding in 1999. Co-founded by Joe Mackall and Dan Lehman, professors at Ashland University, River Teeth has established itself as a leader in the nonfiction narrative genre. Following their retirement, the organization relocated to Ball State University in 2019, under the guidance of Jill Christman and Mark Neely. River Teeth has evolved from a biannual journal to a dynamic multi-platform literary organization that not only publishes a wide array of nonfiction works in their River Teeth journal, but also offers online micro-essays in Beautiful Things, monthly book reviews, and essays for academic use. Additionally, River Teeth is esteemed for sponsoring one of the most prestigious literary nonfiction book prizes in the country. With a commitment to good writing and a strong focus on factual accuracy, River Teeth has had a substantial impact on the landscape of contemporary nonfiction narratives.
