## Description

The Slovenian Red Cross (Rdeči križ Slovenije) is a humanitarian organization with a presence in Slovenia spanning more than 160 years. Working through its regional associations and volunteers, it promotes solidarity and supports people in vulnerable situations. Its activities include organizing blood donation drives throughout the country and encouraging public participation in blood donation. The organization also provides first-aid education for the public, teaching essential steps to help an injured or ill person before emergency medical services arrive.

Volunteer engagement and youth programs are central to its work, alongside social programs that provide assistance to individuals and groups in need. The Slovenian Red Cross also prepares for and responds to disasters, deploying first-aid teams to help people who are at risk or injured. Its broader programs include health protection and education, water rescue, international cooperation, and support for young people. Through its Red Cross resort at Debeli rtič, it offers a dedicated health and holiday facility.
