## Description

Bob Nunley Custom Bamboo Fly Rods & Engraving is a U.S.-based maker of handcrafted bamboo fly rods and custom engraving. Led by Bob Nunley, who has spent decades refining traditional rod-making techniques, the brand creates made-to-order pieces for anglers seeking a personal alternative to mass-produced equipment. Each rod is built from Tonkin cane, carefully split and shaped into tapered sections, then glued, wrapped in silk, and finished by hand. Customers can work with Bob to discuss their fishing style, preferred waters, and desired rod action, then approve the design, materials, hardware, and silk colors before construction begins. The portfolio includes dry-fly and nymph rods in different lengths, weights, and configurations, as well as custom engraved reel seats featuring trout and mayfly motifs. Every commission is crafted individually over a process that takes weeks, with lead times varying by project. Completed rods are delivered in a custom rod tube, ready for fishing. Bob Nunley’s work combines traditional craftsmanship, personalized design, and functional equipment in singular pieces built for their owners.
