Description
RMITV is a student-run television production house affiliated with RMIT University, located in Melbourne, VIC. Since its establishment in 1987, RMITV has become the oldest and most enduring community television organization in Australia. Our mission is to create captivating content for our own online platforms as well as for the free-to-air community television platform, Channel 31.
As a part of RMIT University Student Union (RUSU), RMITV offers a wide range of opportunities for aspiring filmmakers and television enthusiasts. We provide funding, crew, and support for various projects including short films, web series, television sitcoms, animations, and live broadcasts. Our primary aim is to offer hands-on experience and serve as a bridge between studying and finding work in the industry.
Notably, many of our former members have successfully transitioned into paid employment in the TV and AV industries. Our esteemed alumni include renowned figures such as Rove McManus (Roving Enterprises), Hamish and Andy (Fox FM), and Shona Devlin (JTV β Triple J). Join the RMITV community to gain invaluable skills, practical experience, and endless possibilities in the exciting world of television production.
