## Description

The ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, established on March 29, 1981, is a premier research institution dedicated to public health. As one of the 27 centers of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), RMRC focuses on both communicable and non-communicable diseases, bolstering regional health solutions through comprehensive research and collaboration with state departments. 

The center's extensive facilities include a Genomic Sequencing Facility, a COBAS laboratory, an Insectarium, and a Health Informatics Center, supporting a broad spectrum of studies, including vaccine research and health technology assessments. RMRC actively engages in enhancing human resources through its School of Public Health and offers online courses to foster education in the health sector. 

With initiatives addressing diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, and diabetes, RMRC is at the forefront of operational and translational research, contributing significantly to advancing public health both locally and nationally.
