## Description

R.M. Scott is an author whose work centers on imaginative, historically influenced fiction for young readers. Her debut traditionally published novel, Unseen, is a young adult dark fantasy inspired by the 17th-century Basque witch hunts. Set in Ea under the control of an Inquisitor, the story follows Alaia, a gifted healer accused of practicing magic while trying to save her dying father. With Mateo, who vows to protect her, she faces persecution, forbidden love, and the dangerous uses of herbal knowledge. The novel blends fantasy, mystery, romance, and themes of survival and resistance. Unseen is available through retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and the independent bookstore Rediscovered Books, as well as in audiobook format. Readers can access a free download of the first chapter and a book club kit through Scott’s website. She also invites visitors to sign up for her writing newsletter, which includes Chapter One at no charge. The site offers information about her books and author background, along with contact and social media links.
