## Description

Rickul/Nuckö Hembygdsförening is a cultural and heritage association based in Stockholm, Sweden. It brings together people with family roots in Rickul and Nuckö, in Estonia’s historic coastal Swedish-speaking region, as well as others interested in the area and its history. The association helps preserve and share the heritage of the Estonian Swedes, whose language and culture endured for centuries before many left Estonia during the final years of the Second World War.

Its website offers material on local history, culture, geography, livelihoods and villages, alongside an image archive and resources for family history research. Members and visitors can explore archival information, maps, links, and publications, including books and DVDs about the region and its people. The association also organizes heritage days, talks, book presentations, reunions, trips and activities during its annual Homecoming Week. These events connect participants with the community and its past in both Sweden and Estonia. The association also provides information about Mickogården, a heritage-related venue where activities are held and accommodation can be rented.
