## Description

Robot vs Sloth is a Seattle-based art and gift brand founded by artist La Ru (Lauren Rudeck). Its concept pairs cute animals in playful scenes of “fighting” with handmade local art. The shops showcase La Ru’s own artwork alongside a curated selection of pieces by talented artists, mostly from the local community. The flagship store opened in January 2018 in Pike Place Market, and a second location opened in 2025 in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood. Customers can visit either shop or browse online for distinctive art and gifts, and the brand also offers gift cards. Beyond retail, Robot vs Sloth provides creative activities and experiences, including Art Night, a Craft Bar, classes, parties, coloring sheets, and art kits. The website also features wholesale and events, as well as information about artist applications and employment. By bringing together original illustrations, locally curated artwork, gifts, and hands-on creative activities, Robot vs Sloth offers visitors and online shoppers a lively way to discover art and take part in making it.
