## Description

RobotWars101 is the premier destination for enthusiasts of antweight robotics, a unique and exciting class of robot combat where participants create machines weighing up to 150 grams that fit within a compact four-inch cube. Originating in 1998 by a group of innovative competitors seeking a more accessible way to engage in robotics, antweights offer a playful yet challenging avenue for builders who may not have the luxury of a garage workshop. The inaugural Antweight World Series (AWS) in 1999 laid the groundwork for modern competitions, evolving from humble beginnings with just six robots to events that often showcase up to 100 robotic contenders.

The hobby encourages creativity, as builders can design their own arenas and incorporate diverse challenges and hazards. Today, advancements in technology have propelled the popularity and capability of antweight robots, making this a thrilling entry point for newcomers and a compelling challenge for seasoned competitors alike. RobotWars101 continues to support this vibrant community with resources, rules, and event information, ensuring the spirit of robotic combat thrives.
