The RoCE Initiative, an education and resource program of the InfiniBand Trade Association (IBTA), is dedicated to increasing RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) awareness and improving data center performance. It offers technical education, training webinars, and resource materials for those interested in learning more about RoCE and its application in traditional and cloud-based data centers. The initiative also sponsors events with leading providers of RDMA technology.

RoCE, or Remote Direct Memory Access over Converged Ethernet, drives an advanced data center architecture that eliminates dedicated storage area networks and converges compute, networking, and storage onto a single fabric. With RoCE, data center architects can expect lower CPU overhead, increased application performance, and efficiency improvements. By leveraging Ethernet and Data Center Bridging (DCB), RoCE provides lower latency, improved resource utilization, flexible resource allocation, scalability, and fabric unification.
