## Description

The Rochester Numismatic Association (RNA) is a collector and educational organization dedicated to the study and appreciation of coins and other numismatic items. Founded in 1912 by Dr. George P. French, it has continued uninterrupted for more than a century. French, a collector whose specialty was large United States cents, helped establish the association’s early connection with the American Numismatic Association; the RNA became its Branch 2 and is now ANA Life Club Member #8.

The association’s purpose is to advance numismatics as a field of study, encourage fellowship among collectors, share knowledge, support new collectors, and maintain a collection of numismatic items and literature for member education. Its website provides information about meetings, events, and RNA news, alongside access to collections and presidential and non-presidential library resources. Members and visitors can also find a store, affiliations and dealer information, and details about joining the association. Based in Rochester, New York, the RNA connects people interested in collecting, learning about, and preserving numismatic history.
