# Rock Type - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `rocktype1.org` ## Description Rock Type 1 is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of people with type 1 diabetes through exercise, education, and community support. Founded after a family’s young son was diagnosed, the organization promotes the idea that diabetes need not prevent people from pursuing active interests. Its mission is to encourage individuals and families to embrace physical activity while building confidence and connection. Rock Type 1 creates opportunities for people affected by type 1 diabetes to try rock climbing and other outdoor activities. Its events have included indoor climbing sessions, outdoor climbing weekends, and adventure challenges, often welcoming families and participants of different experience levels. The organization also shares information about exercise and type 1 diabetes through its website, blog, news, and media gallery. In addition to activities and education, Rock Type 1 supports awareness of the challenges faced by people managing the condition. The nonprofit has helped collect donations of insulin and diabetes supplies for Insulin for Life-USA, which provides supplies to communities with limited resources and to areas affected by emergencies. Donations to Rock Type 1 are tax deductible, and proceeds support its mission. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Health Conditions and Concerns _(under Health)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/RockType1) - [youtube](https://youtube.com/channel/UCBTvZyAe0L6drZltlBp-yrw) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idheRlrSCL/w/258/h/210/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792945777333) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idheRlrSCL/w/1364/h/1364/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792945777764) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Eucalyptus | #247d53 | accent | | Fun Green | #006837 | dark | | Cherokee | #fdd79a | light | ## Fonts - Georgia — asset _(custom)_ - Arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
