## Description

Rodovid is a free, multilingual online portal for people who want to explore, organize, and share family history. Its name comes from the Ukrainian word “Rodovid,” meaning “lineage” or “genealogy,” reflecting the site’s focus on tracing family connections across generations. The portal is designed for both individuals researching their own relatives and visitors interested in the histories of royal families and notable people. Using family-tree-building technology, Rodovid brings together genealogical information about living and deceased relatives and maps the relationships among them in a coherent family tree. The site is open to everyone, and visitors are invited to contribute information and publish it on the portal. Rodovid supports access in a broad range of languages, including English, Ukrainian, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, and many others, making its family-history resource available to an international audience. By combining collaborative contributions with tools for structuring family relationships, Rodovid provides a shared space for recording and exploring genealogical knowledge.
