## Description

Stichting Rolstoelbus Alkmaar is a non-commercial, volunteer-run organization providing affordable transport for wheelchair users in Alkmaar and the surrounding area. The foundation operates two adapted buses and offers rides seven days a week, generally between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Journeys outside these hours may be requested, but depend on the availability of a volunteer driver. The service is intended to make travel more accessible for people who use wheelchairs, with rides offered at a modest cost.

For safe transport, wheelchairs must meet specified requirements, including a visible sticker showing the points where the chair can be secured. Passengers who are unsure whether their wheelchair complies can contact the office for advice. Rides should be booked in advance by phone on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.; bookings cannot be made on weekends or public holidays, although the organization remains available by phone for information and cancellations.

As an ANBI public-benefit organization staffed entirely by volunteers, the foundation relies on subsidies, donations, sponsorships and other contributions.
