## Description

The Roma Education Fund (REF) is an international foundation founded in 2005, committed to improving educational outcomes for Roma communities across Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, including Turkey. REF’s mission focuses on advocating for equitable education by bridging the gap between Roma and non-Roma populations, promoting policies that support quality education, and fostering inclusive and desegregated learning environments.

Through a robust network of representative offices, REF offers grants and scholarships to individuals and organizations dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for Roma children and youth. The foundation operates with core values that emphasize tenacity, integrity, inquisitiveness, accountability, and justice—principles that guide its initiatives and collaborations. REF aims to inspire hope and motivation among its beneficiaries, ensuring that education is recognized as a fundamental right essential for the development of every individual. By prioritizing inclusive practices, REF seeks to create lasting change in the educational landscape for Roma communities, establishing a brighter future for generations to come.
