## Description

**Rome Call: Promoting AI Ethics for Humanity**

The Rome Call is a significant initiative aimed at fostering ethical practices in artificial intelligence (AI) through collaborative efforts among various world religions, organizations, and institutions. This movement began in 2020 with a foundational document endorsed by prominent entities including the Pontifical Academy for Life and tech giants like Microsoft and IBM.

The Rome Call advocates for a responsible approach to AI that prioritizes human dignity, creativity, and societal well-being over mere technological advancement. It emphasizes the importance of ethics, education, and rights in the digital landscape, ensuring that AI developments serve humanity effectively.

Notable events, such as the upcoming AI Ethics for Peace gathering in Hiroshima in July 2024, exemplify the Call's commitment to uniting diverse voices for a common goal. Furthermore, influential figures, such as Archbishop Justin Welby, and corporate supporters like Cisco, have joined forces to endorse the Call, reinforcing its mission to align technological innovation with the principles of peace and ethical responsibility.
