## Description

Ron Sexsmith is a celebrated Canadian singer-songwriter hailing from St. Catharines, Ontario. Born in 1964, he gained early inspiration from legendary artists like Buddy Holly and Elton John, developing a passion for music that led him to start playing guitar at 14. After moving to Toronto in 1987, he honed his craft while balancing day jobs and performing in local clubs. His debut album, Grand Opera Lane, emerged in 1991, and though initially overlooked in Canada, it secured him a significant publishing deal in Los Angeles.

Since then, Sexsmith has released numerous critically acclaimed albums, known for his unique blend of classic pop, folk, and roots-rock. With a distinct melancholic songwriting style, he has garnered a dedicated fanbase and collaborated with influential producers. His extensive touring has seen him grace prestigious venues worldwide and open for renowned artists. In addition to music, Ron authored a novel, Deer Life, in 2017 and is set to make his theatrical debut in 2025. Currently residing in Perth County, Ontario, he continues to write, record, and perform globally.
