## Description

Roparun Soest is a volunteer team that takes part in the Roparun, a long-distance relay held over the Pentecost weekend to raise money for people with cancer. The event covers more than 530 kilometres, with routes running from Paris or Bremen to Rotterdam. In 2025, Team Soest plans to return to the Paris start for a 530-kilometre route to Rotterdam from 7 to 9 June.

The team brings together more than 25 volunteers, including eight runners, a team leader, physiotherapists, cyclists, catering staff and drivers. Alongside preparing for the relay, Roparun Soest raises funds through donations and sponsorship, inviting supporters to contribute per kilometre or make a direct donation. The money raised supports the Roparun’s charitable purpose; the site directs visitors to the event’s official information about how donations are used. Its guiding motto is “Adding life to the days, when no more days can be added to life.” The website shares team news, event dates, sponsor information and photos, helping supporters follow the team’s preparations and fundraising activities.
