## Description

Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children in Iowa who are at-risk, underprivileged, critically ill, or living with special needs. Its work includes a mobility program that provides equipment to children, helping them participate more fully in daily life. The organization brings supporters together through fundraising events, including Polo on the Green and Roses & Rye: Bourbon, Blooms, and Benevolence. Scheduled for July 18, 2026, at Talons of Tuscany in Ankeny, Roses & Rye is a garden party–inspired evening with Kentucky Derby-style attire, fundraising, and opportunities to connect with the cause. Guests can also visit a private car collection at the venue and meet past recipients of mobility equipment during a Parade of Champions. Tickets are available individually or in tables of six or ten, with proceeds supporting Variety’s mission. Based in Des Moines, the charity invites individuals and groups to contribute through event attendance and fundraising support for children across Iowa.
