**Rossendale Harriers and Athletic Club** is a vibrant and inclusive running club founded in 1967, celebrating over 50 years of dedication to athletic excellence in Rawtenstall. Based at the Marl Pits Sports Centre, the club warmly welcomes members of all ages and abilities, beginning from age 8. With a strong emphasis on community, Rossendale Harriers offers structured training sessions twice a week, focusing on various athletic disciplines, including cross country, fell running, road racing, and track & field events. In addition, the club provides specialized training for beginners through its “First Steps to Fitness” program, ensuring everyone can improve their fitness levels in a supportive environment.

Members also have access to a fully equipped gym for year-round strength training. The club, managed by devoted volunteers, organizes several fell races annually and prides itself on the expertise of its coaches, who are all UKA qualified.
