## Description

The Czech Technology Platform for Plant Biotechnology (ČTPRB+) is a Czech network connecting research organisations, businesses and experts to advance plant biotechnology and bioeconomy development. It supports knowledge transfer in emerging plant-breeding methods, biodegradable waste processing, biogas production and international cooperation. Its members include agricultural and plant-science research institutes, companies and industry associations across the Czech Republic.

The platform maps new breeding technologies and explores ways to use genetic diversity to improve the potential of key crops. Its strategic roadmaps address sustainable production, improving the nutritional value of crops, and increasing the usefulness of biological materials for food and non-food applications. A further focus is biomass utilisation, including fermentation, and converting biodegradable waste and by-products into higher-value resources.

ČTPRB+ also helps small and medium-sized enterprises engage with the bioeconomy and fosters links with international experts and European networks, including Plants for the Future and the European Plant Science Organization. The project developed planning materials for biotechnology and supported participation in European initiatives, including projects funded through BBI-JU and Horizon Europe.
