## Description

The Roswell Historical Society, established in 1971, is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to the preservation and promotion of Roswell's rich history. Supported by generous volunteers and members, the Society actively collects and maintains a vast array of significant historical materials at its Research Library and Archives. These include manuscripts, maps, photographs, and artifacts that illuminate the region's past.

Located within the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, the Society also coordinates engaging community initiatives such as guided historic walking tours and fundraising events, contributing to local heritage awareness. Special projects like the RHS Cemetery Project demonstrate their commitment to honoring veterans and promoting cemetery preservation. Membership is open to all who wish to support their mission, which relies on annual dues, donations, and volunteer efforts. By fostering a deeper understanding of local history, the Roswell Historical Society creates a connection between past and present for the community and visitors alike.
