## Description

Aurora Sea School, trading as Aurora Sea School Limited, is based in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, England, and is identified as an RYA Training Centre. Its public-facing story is closely connected with Row Aurora, the ocean-rowing campaign led by Dawn Smith and Paul Lore. The site shares details of their expeditions, including Atlantic crossings, Scottish adventures, route information, the rowing boat, and the people behind the campaign. Its latest campaign, Hometown Row, involved rowing the Atlantic in both directions. The pair departed La Gomera in December 2025 and reached Antigua 42 days later, becoming the fastest mixed pair to row the Atlantic east to west. In June 2026, they set out from St John’s, Canada, and arrived in the UK after 48 days, becoming the first mixed pair to row the Atlantic west to east. Dawn Smith’s record total is reported as five world records. The site also offers books for purchase, accepts donations, and provides campaign updates through its blog and tracker.
