## Description

Royan Institute is an Iranian research and medical organization established in 1991 by Dr. Saeed Kazemi Ashtiani and colleagues at the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research. Founded to provide care for couples experiencing infertility and to advance research and education in reproductive science, it later grew from a research center into a research institute. Today, Royan brings together three research institutes focused on reproductive sciences, stem cell biology and technology, and biotechnology, alongside the Royan Cancer Institute. Its clinical services include specialized infertility treatment, cell therapy, diabetes, obesity and metabolism care, and comprehensive genetic services. The institute also offers education through a school of basic sciences and emerging medical technologies, short courses, and public stem cell learning programs. Its technology and commercialization activities include knowledge-based companies, an advanced cell therapy products center, a biotechnology incubator, and a center for accelerating and commercializing innovative technologies. Royan also supports scientific exchange through international congresses, festivals, awards, publications, and research networks, connecting medical services, scientific discovery, training, and innovation.
