About RRVBC
Description
RRVBC is a premier blood center dedicated to providing safe and high-value blood products and services to people in need. With a mission rooted in excellence, RRVBC supplies the total blood needs for 14 area hospitals, including Javon Bea Hospital, Mercyhealth Hospital, and UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital, among others. To meet the urgent blood needs of these hospitals, RRVBC must collect over 800 units of blood each week.
They rely on the generosity of donors from nine counties in the Rock River Valley region in Illinois and Wisconsin. RRVBC is a not-for-profit organization regulated by the FDA, accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks, and a member of America's Blood Centers. Their team of approximately 100 dedicated professionals, including a Medical Director, work tirelessly across their four locations and up to three mobile blood drives daily.
