The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) is a prestigious organization that recognizes exceptional achievements and promotes multiple initiatives across various fields. By electing Fellows and Members and presenting awards, the RSC highlights outstanding accomplishments. Through rigorous evaluation and review, leading individuals can be elected to one of the Society's three Academies: the Academy of Arts and Humanities, the Academy of Social Sciences, and the Academy of Science.

With over 2,558 Fellows, the RSC also established the College of New Scholars, Scientists, and Artists in 2014 to recognize emerging talent within 15 years of completing their post-doctoral program. Currently, there are over 401 members in the College. Additionally, the RSC includes Institutional Members from all over Canada that contribute to advancing inclusive excellence.
